Final $20,000 Stretch Goal Reached!

Today, 20 days after launch, we hit our final stretch goal of $20,000, unlocking the Purple Deck of cards that will feature vehicle!  I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your support with this project, and we're busy fine-tuning the designs on all decks in anticipation of getting them to the printers even before the campaign ends.  

To that end, we'll be sending out an interim survey shortly so that you can let us know what your plan is for specifying the decks you want.  Remember, we now have four decks unlocked, so if you pledged for a single deck, you can choose any of the four. If you chose four decks, you can mix-and-match any of the four decks. This interim survey is not binding and it is not the final survey we'll be sending.  It's just to let us know how people are planning to select decks so that we can order the correct amount of each deck early.  Review how many decks your pledge was for, and then look for this interim survey soon.  Thanks again, and congratulations for unlocking all four decks!

As I'm designing the Green Deck (amusement parks and rides) and the Purple Deck (vehicles), I've come across a few patent illustrations that I wanted to tease you with.  Check these out... they're amazing. The top image is a water park, and the bottom image is a ride you might be familiar with if you've ever visited Anaheim or Orlando.

For the Purple Deck (which we're so close to unlocking), here's an example of why Harley-Davidson is so revered...

And who can guess the title of this invention?  (I'll give you a hint... it's not a race car.)  If you're the first person to post the correct patent title (exactly) I'll send you a free purple deck (assuming it gets unlocked, of course... but we have 19 more days so I'm optimistic!). Comment your answer below!

And speaking of beautiful artwork, here's another playing card project that is currently running on Kickstarter that I think has fabulous artwork: Playing cards inspired by the second novel of The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha.

We are getting close to the final stretch goal with more than half of the campaign left, so now's the time for a final push. Let's make that purple deck featuring vehicle patents a reality! I've already started to collect the patents we'll use for that deck in anticipation of reaching this goal in this coming week.  The ideal scenario for speeding delivery would be to get all four decks into the printers even before the end of the campaign.

Also, I wanted to highlight another cool deck that is being offered.  If you haven't already seen the MP ultraviolet playing cards project, you should check it out. The cards are a bit different then what you would normally find on Kickstarter, but they are cool and unique in that they have a spot UV varnish so they glow under a black light.

Woo hoo! Green Deck UNLOCKED!

You guys are amazing!  In just 10 days you've hit the first stretch goal, which I considered a legitimate stretch!  The Green Deck is now unlocked and in design.  This deck features amusement parks and related items.  As a tease, how many recognize this ride?

Now just $4,500 or so to go before we can unlock the Purple Deck.  Please continue to spread the word to your friends, family and colleagues!  Thanks so much!

So this happened... FUNDED!

It appears that we will be printing a whole bunch of cards soon!  Thank you all... amazing numbers yesterday!  We're at $9,500, which is 180% of the funding goal, after less than 5 days.  We're well on our way to the stretch goals of $15K and $20K.

Also, we are excited to be featured on BackerClub.co starting tomorrow! They are the top community for people who are very serious about crowdfunding sites and we are really looking forward to the feedback and support from their community of super-backers. If you back a lot of crowd-funded projects, you should consider joining their group.
